KEN CARPENTER CARICATURES

Ken is a full time caricaturist, living in the mountain region of Colorado! This includes places such as: Aspen, Vail/Beaver Creek, Glenwood Springs and Summit County.

Ken began as a Street Artist during his last year in Boulder back in 1984. He is also a musician but...that's not the topic! His largest artistic aspiration is to one day grace the pages of The Yorker with one of his cartoons! THIS probably tells you a lot about Ken’s humor!~

He has been with a drawing implement of some sort since early childhood. Although Ken has worked with oil, water color and sculpture, he has always been intrigued by the power of black and white. So during his work as a caricaturist he will use ink markers for the line work and graphite. Charcoal has always been the preferred medium for this form of art, but I think Graphite to be much more 'Customer Friendly' meaning, it smears less to none!

The sketch of a gentleman in his office is more detailed than what time might allow for this event, but we always try to add something about the person into the sketch: profession, hobbies, sports, etc. So please stop by our booth in Beaver Creek Village and take home a very special piece of art.
